Here is one more film that aims to highlight the mechanical life style of Bangaloreans. Vijaykumar Chabria, vice-president of Karnataka Cable TV Association, has embarked on a mission to convey a message to the society that earning money or having a good job is not everything in life. The need of hour is to have some quality time for your own good.

Chabria has made Ishta, a film that showcases how the youth, especially those employed, are finding it tough to express their feelings, as they are pre-occupied. He is launching his daughter Bhumika Chabria as the heroine of the film.

R P Krishna who has worked as the associate with a few directors, makes his debut as a director with Ishta.

Bhumika, born and brought up in Bangalore, speaks Kannada fluently and wants to realise her long-cherished dream of becoming an artiste.

‘‘I wanted to become an artiste since my childhood. I used to take part in cultural programmes during my college days. I did my PUC from Mount Carmel and a course in fashion designing from Bhagawan Mahaveer Jain College,’’ says Bhumika.

The film Ishta was shot in Bangalore, Jain Basti, Honnavara and other beautiful locations across the state.

It was said that Bhumika attended training classes in acting for more than a year.

‘‘Director Krishna conducted the training classes for the hero Santosh Surabhi for more than a year. The objective of the training was to know the nuances of acting before facing the camea and not waste the time during the shooting. We have put in a lot of hard work. It was a wonderful experience during the shooting,’’ says Bhumika. Santosh Surabhi made his debut with the film Abhirami Anaathanaa that failed to make a positive impact on the box office. The film Ishta is expected to hit the silver screen within a few weeks
