Prajwal’s Schoolboy Look Evokes Nostalgia

A Sharadhaa

Prajwal Devaraj got to relive his school days in the film Nee Naadena. In the picture that City Express got hold of, the actor is seen in the same school uniform that he wore as a student in Aurobindo Memorial School. “When we planned this particular sequence, Prajwal got sentimental about his school and wanted to replicate it in the film. We went on a 20-day break in between the shoot for him to lose some weight for the part. He took it as a challenge and adopted a young boy’s body language within the few days,” explains Devaraj.

Prajwal’s young look brought back a lot of memories to his parents, especially to his mother Chandralekha. “More than me, it was my wife who got excited upon seeing Prajwal in the schoolboy look. The moment he walked into the set in the uniform, she rushed to him, kissed him and told him that he looked just like he did when he was younger. The whole day, she kept talking about her memories of dropping him at school and helping him prepare for his exams,” Devaraj says.

“Once kids grow up, we don’t get the chance to relive their childhood memories. This was a great moment for us as parents. A few of my friends had also visited the sets then and Prajwal’s look took all of us back to the good old days,” reminisces Devaraj.
