RS Productions Acquire Hindi Rights of Rudhramadevi

Displaying a rare business acumen, R Srinivas and Srikanth KP, two established filmmakers of Karnataka are taking calculated risks to reach out to diverse audiiences with a gamut of films in multiple   languages through RS Productions.

Having clinched the distribution of Telugu film Baahubali, the production house has acquired the Hindi rights of the historical 3D Telugu film Rudhramadevi, starring Anushka Shetty and Allu Arjun, Rana Daggubati which will be released in September.

Confirming the news to City Express, Srinivas said, “We will be releasing Rudhramadevi in Hindi across the world and work is presently going on in Mumbai.”Considering the importance of being strategically located, RS Productions opened an office in Mumbai on Monday. They will be opening a branch office in Hyderabad today.

“We have already produced Telugu films with NTR. We were was the ones who introduced Anushka Shetty in Telugu with Mahanandi,” said Srinivas.  RS Productions have also forayed into other territories. They have taken the rights of a blockbuster Marathi film and will be making it in Hindi with the same director. “Shooting will start from January. More details will be revealed once the hero is chosen,”said Srinivas.Rumours are that the production house will be doing a project with Akshay Kumar to be directed by Prabhu Deva as well as a Telugu film with Ravi Teja directed by Chakri.

Kannada films

In Sandalwood, RS Productions have three films in various stages of filming - Dana Kayonu directed by Yogaraj Bhat, Jessie by Pavan Wadeyar and Bharjari by Chetan Kumar. “We will soon be starting a film with Nagashekhar which will be made in four languages.

The film will have Chetan in the lead for Kannada and Malayalam. We have approached Naani for Telugu and Tamil, which is yet to be finalised. Taapsee will be the female lead in all the languages,” Srinivas revealed. Their latest project is Doddaru, with Chiranjeevi Sarja as the hero, directed by Santhu . “The story has been finalised and we will be making an official announcement soon,” he said.
