Pooja Gandhi who has taken the bold step of both producing as well as  acting in the film, Abhinetri - The Tragedy of a Legend, is all set for its release this Friday. She is very excited that her film is finally coming to the theatres after a long wait. “Making this film was like fighting a battle and it finally feels like I am about to win. I feel like the happiest person in the world today,” says Pooja. The actress who made a name for herself in the Kannada industry with Mungaru Male, choose to pick up a unique subject based on the life of yesteryear actress Kalpana. “I thought that this is a story that should be told as it is about one woman’s struggles and her  difficult journey through life. I too went through a tough time in order to visualise  certain scenes as not everything is rosy about an actor’s life. There are various incidents that could bring them to a tragic end and so is the case with Abhinetri. I am happy that I have made this film and have also dubbed it in my own voice,” she says. The film also stars Atul Kulkarni, Makarand Deshpande, Srinagar Kitty and Ravi Shankar in  leading roles.
