Yash, the lead actor of Masterpiece has had quite a few sleepless nights as the film required him to burn the midnight oil on quite a few occasions. However, he will be more relaxed in the coming days as his next shoot planned in Mysuru will be a more spread out 20-day schedule chronicling the light-hearted bits of the film. Director Manju Mandavya has headed to Mysuru before the crew and Yash and the other actors will join them on June 5. Manju says along with the lead actor Suhasini and Hamsa  (the latter plays the part of Yash sister) will be part of this shoot as well as Chikkanna and Achyuth Kumar.”

Apart from the talky portions, the highlight of the Bengaluru schedule was the fight sequences with stunt master Ganesh from Chennai choreographing the shots. “The fight sequence was conceptualised as an introduction to the hero figure in the film and was shot over three days,” he says.

Another unique aspect of Masterpiece is the costume design of the film especially for the actor Yash. He will be seen in a variety of looks from a casual vest, paired with a shirt and jeans to a more formal period look. Manju says, “We have worked out different costumes for talky portions, songs and Yash’s role as Bhagat Singh. We have followed a format in his dressing sense with shaded colours that match his rugged character,” he says.

Manju will be shooting the Bhagat Singh portions towards the end as he wants Yash to have the right kind of look while shooting the patriotic sequences. “It is yet to be decided whether we will shoot at the original locations in Punjab   where Bhagat Singh lived or somewhere else. Also the Goa schedule which did not take place has now been shifted to a foreign location and is planned for a later date,” says Manju.
