Gani — The Boss gets Ranya as its Heroine

Ranya, who was last seen opposite Sudeep in Maanikya, has bagged her second film. She is playing the lead role opposite Ganesh next in Gani — The Boss, directed by Manju Swaraj and produced by S V Babu. Confirming the news, the producer told City Express that they were looking for a Kannada girl and after many choices, they zeroed in on Ranya. “We heard that Ranya is currently working in a Tamil project, Wagah, opposite Vikram Prabhu, and she is happy to be part of our production. Priyanka, the heroine of Ganapa has an an important role too,” says Babu. The film is a remake of Telugu hit Pataas, directed by Ravipudi.

The film will roll on July 2, Ganesh’s birthday, and the makers have chocked out a 30-day schedule in Mysuru. “We are planning to finish the talky portions at one stretch as Ganesh has to to join the sets of Mungaru Male 2 on August 2,” he says.
