Actor Dhananjay should be glad that his upcoming film Boxer, directed by Preetham Gubbi, finally gets a release date. The film has been cleared from the censors with a ‘U’ certificate with no cuts, and the director is quite happy about it. “We are ready with the film but were looking for a good release and our producers Jayanna and Bogendra have decided to release the film on November 27. Our intial plan was to come out with the film this Diwali. Since we got the censor certificate now, we need time to promote our film in the next two weeks. So we decided to wait till after festive season,” he explains.
Boxer is a love story with action sequences, which made Dhananjay train in kick boxing. Kruthika Jayakumar who is debuting in Kannada plays the female lead with V Harikrishna as music director and Preetha Jayaraman as cinematographer.
