Bharjari Will See a Lean Dhruva, Lighter by 25 kg

The actor, along with heroine Rachita Ram, will join the second schedule of Bharjari that starts today.

A Sharadhaa

Bharjari, directed by Chetan of Bahaddhur fame, is being made on at leisurely pace, from its scripting to the making. And Dhruva Sarja, the lead actor, says it is for a reason. “I had to get rid of my biceps and now I am working out to lose 25 kg for a lean, mean look. I need to blend into the character, for a film that is driven by content,” he tells City Epxress.

Though the actor’s new look is yet to be revealed, the buzz is that the first half of Bharjari will see him as a 20-to 21-year-old, for which, he had to lose weight.

“I had managed to keep it as a secret. In fact, even when I stood for pictures with people, I would wear a pull over. I have already shot most of the scenes in my first schedule and will complete the rest in this schedule,” says Dhruva. “I know that the entire team, especially my director Chetan, is waiting patiently for me to get back on the sets. But all said and done, I can’t cheat with my physique and it takes time. Losing 25 kg is not easy and I just had 60 days, which according to me is very less.”

He says that cardio exercises and a balanced diet have helped him shed his muscles. “I have to lose another 2 kgs for the 25 kg target.”

Dhruva, after this schedule, has a bigger target to achieve. “I will have to put on 30 kg for the character in the second half of Bharjari.

I am trying to break conventions and am thankful to all those who have waited patiently to watch me on the silver screen.

All I can say now is Bharjari will be full of surprises,” he signs off.

Rachita Ram Hopping from Shoot to Shoot Rachita Ram who till yesterday was shooting for Chakravyuha starring Puneeth Rajkumar will now be joining the sets of Bharjari. “I am done shooting for Chakravyuha except for two days of patch work,” she says. “I enjoy hopping from one film shoot to another. Now all my time will be dedicated to Bharjari and I am excited because I like my character in this film because it runs on my dimples,” chuckles Rachita,

“This will be a long schedule of 22 days and we will be shooting mostly in and around Bengaluru,” she adds.
