Brothers as good and bad in chakravarthy

Darshan and Dinakar will be seen playing the protagonist and antagonist respectively

A Sharadhaa

Darshan Thoogudeepa and his younger brother Dinakar Thoogudeepa have never been emulous, always maintaining a friendship founded on brotherhood, which they later maintained in business. And when it comes to filmmaking, the duo have been creatively stubborn, sticking on to giving up on mediocrity and conventional commercial plots, opting instead to achieve the great. After Sarathi, which saw them work together behind the screens, the brothers will be seen onscreen for the first time in Chakravarthy. And what makes their combo to create a buzz is that Dinakar plays the antagonist.

In his reaction, Darshan only says, “It is a privilege to be working with my brother.”

Dinakar, who has made a mark as a director-producer, is getting a makeover for the role. While secrecy on his appearance has been maintained, sources state that Dinakar is working out to fit into the role.

The film, which was taken over by producer Anaji Nagaraj and Siddhanth from Sarathi producer,  K V Satyaprakash, is also making news because it has managed to rope in actors like Aditya and Srujan Lokesh.

Director Chintan says, “Along with Dinakar, we will have a couple of villains, who are yet to be finalised. Meanwhile, this film will see Aditya and Srujan in important roles. Details will be revealed once we get on the floors.  While we have already finalised Anjali as the heroine, we are still in the process of finalising the rest of the actors.”

With an interesting star cast, Chakravarthy has combinations repeating themselves again after their success on screen.

While Darshan and Aditya have worked together in Snehana Preethina, the Challenging Star and Srujan have worked in Navagraha and will be seen in Jaggu Dada.  Aditya and Srujan as a combination have worked well in Edegarike. Above all, Dinakar has been with Darshan throughout his career.

As of now, the mega project will start rolling in Mysuru on May 24 after the makers seek the blessings of Goddess Chamundi in the presence of the entire star cast.

I am Scared to be Compared with My Father Thoogudeepa Srinivas: Dinakar

Dinakar, who is facing the camera for the first time, says, "Director Chintan is very confident that I can carry off the antagonist role.  When he narrated to me the story, he asked me which particular character I felt good about.  I told him, apart from the hero, the Maharaja character is interesting. That's when he said, that I should play that particular role. I initially said no because acting is not my strength. But he is sure about me."  About working with brother Darshan he says, "I will not have a problem if they compare me to my brother, who is a star and close to 50 films. But what I am more worried is when people start comparing me to my father Thoogudeepa Srinivas. Darshan was not compared much with my father because he was a villain and Darshan always played positive roles.  With me playing a villain, there is a probability of comparison.  Along with Darshan, my  mother and sister are also confident about me. There is excitement and also nervousness at the same time as I get prepared for the role."
