The team of Kirik Party starring Rakshit Shetty, ended their last leg of shooting schedule with a "journey song" for which they travelled to 15 places in four states --Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra and Goa.

Rakshit's character has two shades in the film - one is a fun-loving fresher in college and another when he reaches his final year.

City Express got hold of Rakshit's second look in the film that sees him with a beard, which he says took one month to grow.

Rishab Shetty the director of the film tweeted #KirikParty #Final schedule #RoadShoot Back to Bangalore. According to the director, the song runs at a significant moment in the film and it required varied backdrops.

“It actually highlights the mood of the film and even the character. This song needed the long journey and so a map was drawn. We started from Bengaluru and went to Chikkamagaluru, Kudremukh, Kundapur and Maravanthe. From there we went to various places in Goa and moved to Solapur, Hubballi, Ballari and to Andhra and back. We were around 20 people and it was like a picnic,” he says.

While the makers had earlier said that a car plays an important part in their film, the song features a bike. "Rakshit rides a Royal Enfield throughout this song. Three of our associates Shashikumar, Pradeep Rao, and Kiran Patil accompanied us on the 2,400 km journey and they took turns while riding the bike, even enjoying heavy rains,” Rishab says.

Kirik Party is Rakshit

Shetty’s first production under Paramvah Studios and has two young debutants,  Rashmika and Samyukta Hegde as leading ladies. The film has music by Ajaneesh Loknath and cinematography by Karm Chawla.

"With just another three days of work, we are simultaneously doing the post-production work," says Rishab.
