BENGALURU: Actor turned politician, Jaggesh’s son Gururaj was on Monday morning stabbed after a road mishap turned ugly. Gururaj was on his way to drop his son to school when his car was rammed by another vehicle. He later drove to a private hospital for treatment.
Police said that around 8.30 am Gururaj was passing Matadahalli road near Military Center when a speeding Swift Dzire rammed his vehicle. The accused has been identified as Shivashankar who fled the scene immediately.
After a chase, Gururaj managed to stop the other vehicle and a heated argument ensued. Both threatened each other with influential contacts when Shivashankar tried to stab Gururaj who deflected his move and got hit on the thigh instead of his stomach.
After CCTV verification, police found the vehicle details and the assailant. The car belongs to Krishnegowda, a resident of Hebbal. Gururaj told police that does not know the person and had no enmity. Investigations are on.
