Almost every succesful heroine in the Kannada film industry has tried her hand in other regional cinema and following this suit is Rashmika Mandanna. The actress will soon be seen in Tollywood this year. Following the success of her first film, Kirik Party, Rashmika has become one of the most sought after actress in the Kannada industry.
This fame of hers has also attracted attention of other regional film industries. There has been talk that the actress was made an offer to work with some of the top heroes of the Telugu film industry.
However, the actor has picked her Telugu debut to be one starring Naga Shourya.
Rashmika confirms this news. and she tells City Express, “I have been offered movies from other languages, especially in Telugu. Of the recent scripts that I have gone through I thought the project with Naga Shourya will be the best bet for a debut.”
A talent found by Rakshit Shetty while casting for Kirik Party, Rashmika is currently shooting for Harsha’s directorial venture, Anjani Putra starring Puneeth Rajkumar. Her next project is with Ganesh starrer Chamak directed by Suni. “Though the muhurath of the film is set to happen anytime soon, I will be joining the Telugu project once I am done with shooting for my Kannada films,” she says.
Although the young actress is excited to explore new regional cinema, Kannada films will remain her priority. “They say acting has no language barrier. Only good projects that will make it to other regions. The overwhelming response I have received for my first film cannot be forgotten. So my priority remains Sandalwood,” she says.
