Director Tarun Sudhir who will be helming Darshan’s film,  is readying the script. And to all Darshan fans, here comes a good news: The initial plan was to have Tarun direct a remake of Tamil hit Veeram but the same has been ruled out and instead, the director and his writers are coming up with an original subject.

A happy Tarun confirms that he will not be directing a remake for Darshan and is excited that the actor has given him the green signal to work on a fresh script. “I will be reading it out to Darshan once he is back from Malaysia, where he is currently shooting for Tarak,” says Tarun whose debut movie Chowka has just completed 100 days, the first movie to do so in 2017.

According to the director, the project with Darshan might start off in January 2018 after he is done with the shooting for his periodic drama Kurukshetra. The director estimates that this should be done by December.

“Since Kurukshetra is Darshan’s 50th film and the mine will be his 51st, I got an opportunity write the story,” says Tarun.

“This time I will come up with a different story. Like with Chowka, I will be trying a different genre for Darshan,” he adds. Now that we know  about the film is not a remake, we are definitely curious what subject Tarun plans for Darshan.
