Director Hemanth M Rao captured well the lostness of an Alzhiemer’s patient through Anant Nag, in his debut venture Godhi Banna Sadharana Mykattu. The senior actor had stolen the show.

In Hemanth’s next, Anant Nag will be featured again and this time as a retired police officer.

The director shares the first look of the actor with City Express and says, “He plays a fearless and decorated cop. Then, he gets tired of this life and leaves the bustling city to live alone in a farm house.

This is the basic character sketch of Anant sir’s role in Kavalu Daari. He will certainly add depth to the role of retired cop, over the course of the film.”

The first schedule has been wrapped up in Mysuru, and the team will now go back to shoot from November first week for a 25-day schedule. The remaining portions will be shot in Bengaluru.

“During the shoot, Anant Nag again put all of us through that moment when we went speechless watching his emoting. This will yet again an intense performance from the senior actor,” he says.

The film is being produced by Puneeth Rajkumar under PRK productions, along with Anant Nag. Kavalu Daari features Rishi in the lead, with Achyuth Kumar, Sidhartha Maadhyamika, Roshini Prakash, Samanvita Shetty and Siri Ravikumar  also in the cast.
