A biography on Murali’s film career

Plans are on to release a book titled ‘Holy Actor’, about the career of the award winning actor who passed away in 2009.

KOZHIKODE: To keep alive memories of late actor Murali, who passed away on August 6, 2009, the Bharat Murali Commemorative Forum along with Kozhikode Corporation, will organize a series of cultural programmes from August 6 to 8 in Kozhikode.

The highlight of the event organised as part of his first death anniversary will be a film festival which will screen eight of Murali’s films. This was informed in a press statement released by KJ Thomas, the General Convener of the Organising Committee.

Among the films likely to be shown are 'Amaram', 'Aadharam', 'Chambakkulam Thachan' and 'Kanakkinavu'.

A photo exhibition, seminar and release of a book titled 'Holy Actor', on the late actor's career, are also planned, it said. An elaborate organising committee with Kozhikode Mayor M Bhaskaran as Chairman, has been formed, the release said.
