THE shooting of director Shafi’s Make-up Man his progressing at Thiruvananthapuram. Scripted by Sachi and Sethu, the film has Jayaram playing the role of a makeup man in films. It’s a movie within a movie, with Sheela Kaul, who was the heroine in Maya Bazaar and Thanthonni, playing the leading lady. Sheela plays an actress while Jayaram is an MBA graduate, who becomes her make-up man. Jayaram and Shafi had teamed up together earlier in Shafi’s launch pad - One Man Show. Sachi and Sethu debuted with Shafi’s Chocolate.
Jayaram is part of several high profile projects and can be seen in Satyan Anthikkad’s Kadha Thudarunnu, in which he plays an autodriver.
Mamta Mohandas plays his heroine while actors Kunjacko Boban and Prithviraj play themselves in the movie.
