KERALA: Solomon is a simple person. Humble and an innocent soul, Solomon fears virtually everything around. Even if someone irritates Solomon, he will not dare retaliate. His peculiar character earned Solomon a nickname among the locals 'Kunjadu.'
Hitmaker Shafi's new venture Marykkundoru Kunjadu unfolds the story of Solomon, who is fondly called Kunjadu Solomon. Dileep portrays the role of Solomon. Scripted by Benny P Nayarambalam, the shooting of the movie is progressing at Thodupuzha and nearby areas.
The Shafi-Benny-Dileep trio is joining hands for the second time after their first venture Kalyanaraman fared well at the box office. It is Benny P Nayarambalam's fourth script for Dileep. Benny's earlier scripts with Dileep in the lead Kunjikkoonan, Chanthupottu and Kalyanaraman were superhits.
"The story takes place in a remote village where a majority of the people are Christians. The simple life of Solomon takes a new turn as the story progresses with a strong man with rugged looks coming to Solomon's house. Solomon, who was known as a weak guy until then, has a strong company now," Benny says.Vijayaraghavan plays the role of Geevarghese and Vinaya Prasad that of Mary, who are Solomon's parents. Bhavana dons the role of another Mary, the daughter of Ittichan, a rich landlord. Innocent portrays Ittichan.
Though Solomon loves Mary, her father Ittichan does not support this relationship. Ittichan has his own reasons for opposing the relationship. The story of Marykkundoru Kunjadu blossoms through such little and funny incidents. Biju Menon, Kochu Preman, Ponnamma Babu and Ambika Mohan are also in the starcast. The movie is being produced by P Rajan under the banner Vyshakha Movies. Lyrics by Anil Panachooran have been set to tune by BernyIgnatius. Cinematography is by Shyam Dutt. The movie will hit the theatres as a Christmas release.
