Actor Sreenivasan has been selected for the Bharat Balan K Nair film award-2012 for his outstanding contribution to Malayalam film industry.
The award has been instituted by STV Channel Shoranur.
STV chairman R B Anil Kumar told reporters here that Tourism Minister A P Anilkumar would present the award at a function to be held at Shoranur Blue Diamond Auditorium on August 26.
The channel will also organise Bharath Balan K Nair short film fest from August 24 to 26.
The short film fest includes competition in five categories- documentary, short-films, home cinema and others.
