Khushboo, who has acted in about 15 Malayalam films so far, will dub for herself in the language for 'Mr Marumakan'. Actors Dileep and Sanusha play the lead roles in the film, while Khushboo is said to play a snob.
“Director Sandhya Mohan wanted me to dub for my role, as she thinks other voices won’t suit my character. She says that there isn’t any synchronisation between the voice for me and what I have done on screen,” says Khushboo.
The actress says she doesn’t find it easy dubbing in Malayalam. “I have only dubbed for a day and asked them to check if it is good. I can say the words clearly, but I find it difficult to get the accent right,” she says.
Though Khushboo can understand Malayalam, she hasn’t conversed in the language. She says 'Mr Marumakan' is a commercial film featuring her in a role she hasn’t tried before.
Rubbishing rumours of acting in Simbu’s 'Vaalu', she says, “My serial 'Paartha Nyabagam Illayao' keeps me busy for 10 days while the reality dance show 'Manada Mayilada' takes five days of a month. So I end up shooting 20 days every month. I keep the rest of the days for my family. So I really don’t have time for films. But if there is something interesting in store for me, I will consider taking it up,” says Khushboo.
