Property dispute begins among Thilakan's children

Express News Service

Sonia Thilakan, daughter of late actor Thilakan, on Friday approached the Additional Munsif Court-II alleging that her stepbrothers Shammi Thilakan and Shoby Thilakan were threatening to evict her from her residence.

In a petition filed before the court, she alleged that her step brothers had threatened to evict her and family from the flat in Pulimoodu near Statue.  Soniya said that she had been residing in flat B-2 of the PRS Court, for over the past two decades.

The flat was bought by Thilakan in 1990. The ownership of the flat is still in Thilakan’s name.

Sonia also filed an application seeking to appoint an advocate commission to make an inventory of the articles in the flat, including the awards won by Thilakan. The court appointed an advocate commission. The advocate visited the flat and prepared the list of articles in the flat.

The court also issued a notice to Shammi and Shoby Thilakan asking them to appear before the court on October 12 in connection with the case.
