Mohanlal starrer 1971 Beyond Borders official teaser released

Mohanlal and director Major Ravi are bringing out the fourth part of the Major Mahadevan films which started with 'Keerthi Chakra' (2006).

The actor shared the teaser through his official Facebook page.

The 36-second video shows glimpses of Mohanlal partaking in village festivals as well as his avatar as Major Mahadevan in a gory war. In 1971 Beyond Border, Mohanlal plays the titular character, Major Mahadevan as well as the role of his 85-year-old father, Colonel Sahadevan.

The movie is wrtitten, directed by Major Ravi and produced by Haneef Mohammed. 1971 Beyond Borders was shot in locations including Ottapaalam, Pattambi and Georgia.

Asha Sarath plays the female lead in the movie while Allu Sirish, Ranji Panikker, Saiju Kurup, Sudheer Karamana and Arunoday Singh co-star. The makers had hinted that the movie is a prequel to 'Kurukshetra', the second installment of the series.

The third installment of the series, 'Kandahar' (2010) had the backdrop of the hijacking of Indian Airlines Flight 814 in 1999.

The film even had a cameo by Bollywood Superstar Amitabh Bachchan.

1971 Beyond Borders is set to release on April 7th in Malayalam, Hindi and Telugu versions.
