Prithviraj, who is awaiting the release of his ambitious movie Vimaanam directed by Pradeep M Nair, has signed another project with the same director. The movie has been titled Metre gauge 1904.

The actor took to Facebook to make the announcement.  He posted: Entangled between history, fiction, love and the wonder that is human ingenuity..lies the story of Engineer Kuruvila, and how he made the impossible possible for love! (sic).

According to Pradeep, Metre gauge 1904 is a historical fiction and narrates the events related to the work of Travancore's first metre gauge, the Kollam-Sengottai line. "In 1904, an engineer by the name of Kuruvila was in the forefront of the work. This movie is about his life and how he fought odds for the country," he says. Prithviraj will play the role of engineer Kuruvila in the movie.  However, Pradeep says they haven't yet decided when to start the movie.

"Metre gauge 1904 demands a vast pre-production work. So, we can't say for sure when the movie will go on the floors. However, it won't take much long," says Pradeep.Meanwhile, Pradeep's debut movie Vimaanam will release this month. The movie has Prithviraj playing a young man, who dreams of flying a plane. Durga Krishnan plays the lady lead.
