Shane Nigam, whose career is on a high following the success of his latest movie Parava, will play an artist in his next titled Painkili.  A romantic comedy, the movie will go on the floors in February.

Says director Devan: "Painkili, as the name suggests, is a  romantic comedy. It will have every element of an entertainer. We have already begun the pre-production work. It will take some time to start the shoot because Shane will have to undergo a physical transformation for the role.

He has to gain weight and take lessons in dance for playing the character. The actor will soon take off to Mumbai for dance classes," says the director.  He also added that Painkili will have Shane playing an artist. "He plays an artist but is into travelling as well.

Painkili will have him in a different role," he adds. The movie will have dance sequences. "Shane is a good dancer and we are on the hunt for a female lead who is a dancer as well. There will be two dance sequences in the movie. One will be a tango and the other a fast number," says the director.  The music will be composed by percussionist and music band Masala Coffee founder Varun Sunil.
