Premalu stars Sangeeth Prathap and Mamitha Baiju's new film, directed by debutant Dinoy Paulose, was launched on Thursday in Kochi. Ashiq Usman is producing the film, with filmmaker Arun D Jose serving as the co-producer.

Dinoy is noted for co-writing the 2019 blockbuster Thanneer Mathan Dinangal, in which he also appeared in a supporting role. He later scripted and played the lead in Pathrosinte Padappukal and Visudha Mejo. His directorial debut has cinematography by Akhil George, editing by Chaman Chakko, and art direction by Nimesh M Thanoor.

Sangeeth, last seen in Baby Girl, next has Medical Miracle, his debut film as a lead actor, lined up. Meanwhile, Mamitha is planning a comeback to Malayalam after the sensational success of Premalu. She recently finished shooting for Bethlehem Kudumba Unit, also starring Nivin Pauly. It marks her reunion with Premalu director Girish AD and production house Bhavana Studios.

The actor is also part of some high-profile projects in Tamil, including actor-politician Vijay’s last film Jana Nayagan, Suriya's Vishwanath & Sons, and Vishnu Vishal's Irandu Vaanam.
