Earlier, a few movies have been made on the lifestyle of the Indians living in the USA but the latest flick based on the above concept — Allide Nammane Illibandhe Summane — showcases the difficulties of Indians, especially those from the rural areas, in adapting to the new lifestyle.
It also highlights how the knowledge of the language, English and an accent play an important role in getting jobs in the USA where many consider the www — wife, work and weather — as the most important things of life.
The movie also tries to throw some light on how Indians lose their jobs and find it difficult even to have a medical checkup in the absence of medical insurance.
The movie is about Kenchapura Babu (Saurav Babu) who belongs to a poor family from a place near Mandya and fails to get a job in Mysore or Bangalore even after six years of completing the engineering course in Bangalore.
His uncle helps him, and he goes to the USA and introduces him to Shiva Nayak (Sriraj) who hails from Karnataka and is working there as a software engineer.
Babu succeeds in not only getting a job at a software company but also marries his lover (Reena Mehta).
Nayak also marries Uma (Yagna Shetty), a humble and obedient girl from Bangalore .
Meanwhile, Nayak loses his job and cannot go to hospital for treatment due to financial problems.
Later, he gets a job and invites his relatives to the USA.
After a few days, he gets admitted to a hospital due to lung cancer.
As far as the performances are concerned, Babu and Sriraj have acted well.
Babu’s dialogue delivery is good.
Reena looks glamorous but has to go a long way to establish herself as an actress.
Yagna Shetty has performed well and her dancing skills deserve appreciation.
Dattathreya and Padma Kumta have provided good support
