It looks like Kannada actor Sudeep has joined the league of those South Indian actors who command a market in Kollywood as well. Around the time that his second film in Tamil, Naan Ee, is to hit the screens, his Kannada hit Gooli (2008) has been dubbed in Tamil as Korukkupettai Kooli and is ready for release. Thadaiyara Thaakka’s heroine, Mamta Mohandas, plays the lead lady in this film while Kishore plays a cop. Sudeep’s first Tamil film was Ramgopal Varma’s Raktha Charithram.
An action flick directed by P N Sathya, Kooli portrays Sudeep as a henchman who has a team of goons to kill people for money. The film is about the obstructions he faces after meeting Mamta. There are about 20 stunt sequences in the film which are said to be a highlight.
