Duniya Vijay-starrer RX Suri has garnered attention even before its release. Apparently, the dubbing rights of the film have been bought by a Telugu producer for `1 crore, which is supposed to be the highest offer for a Duniya Vijay film.
The film will be dubbed in Telugu and released on the same day as its Kannada version. RX Suri is supposed to be inspired by Maddelacheruvu Suri, a rowdy sheeter who lived in Bengaluru for many years. The film traces Suri’s love life that involves an engineering student whom he married. Suri was sentenced to 13 years in jail for plotting a bomb blast in Hyderabad to kill his rival Ravi. He was later shot dead in Hyderabad in 2011. Akanksha is paired opposite Vijay in this film. The story was already made into a Tamil-Hindi bilingual called Rakta Charita that starred Suriya.
