Though her debut flick 'Karuppusamy Kuththagaithaarar' gave Meenakshi a good platform to establish her career, she was less noticed in the next couple of flicks which turned out to be duds at the box office. But, with Karu Pazhaniappan’s 'Mandhira Punnagai', Meenakshi hopes that her acting skills will get the due.

Karu Pazhaniappan directs as well as dons the greasepaint in the movie. “My role as Nandhini will get a good recognition. She is a modern girl with ethical values,” says Meenakshi, who is quite excited about her new photographs, which were taken by Dreamcast Karthik.

“I usually take portfolios twice in a year. And this one has come out very well. I’ve done both costumes and makeup and the end result is mind-blowing,” beams the actress.

On 'Mandhira Punnagai', the actress says, “The audio launch of the film will happen this month and the movie will hit the screens in November. I’m also eagerly awaiting for the release of 'Agam Puram', in which I paired opposite to Shaam.”

Is there any reason for not getting good roles in spite of your good looks?

“I don’t hunt for roles. I grab whatever comes my way and give my best. That may be the reason for not getting enough films but I’m happy with what am I,” she gushes.
