CHENNAI: Vimala Raman, the Miss India-Australia turned actress from Sydney, is singularly responsible for the soaring pulse rates of many with her sizzling hot performances in several movies. This hottie plans of bagging as much time as she can on the silver screen. Luckily for her fans, Tollywood seems to be in agreement with her sentiments.
She’s already started work on several projects — 'Ranga The Donga' and 'Chukkalanti Ammayi Chakkanaina Abbai'. Turns out that it was Tollywood that inspired her path to success in the first place! “'Mayuri', a Telugu film, inspired me to take up acting. I watched the Malayalam version of the film as a child and I learned classical dance in spite of my parents’ reluctance,” said the actress.
Vimala made her debut in Tamil with K Balachander's 'Poi' and was also seen in Cheran's 'Raaman Thediya Seethai'.
