It was definitely a delightful Sunday for fans of actor Vijay, as the music of his much-awaited upcoming film, 'Velayudham' released in Madurai. Music for 'Velayudham' has been scored by Vijay Antony, who has also sung two songs in the film.

Speaking about Vijay Antony’s music in 'Velayudham', Vijay said, “Velayudham’s music is several times more impressive than the music of 'Vettaikkaran'.”

Talking about his songs for 'Velayudham', Vijay Antony said, “When composing for 'Vettaikkaran', we wanted it to appeal to the masses. This meant a mix of modern, folk, kuthu and melody. However, for 'Velayudham', melody was my priority. Every song in the film, irrespective of its genre, will be melodious.

There are two proper melodies too. For instance, 'Chillax...' is a semi-classical song, fast-paced but with a fair amount of melody in it. More importantly, the lyrics will be meaningful and add value,” he says.

Jayam Raja is the director of the film.
