CHENNAI: Director Selvaraghavan and his sweetheart Geetanjali got engaged on Thursday at the latter’s residence. They both exchanged rings at the grand engagement ceremony that saw the who’s who of tinseltown.
Geetanjali, daughter of PS Raman, Advocate General of Tamil Nadu, was at her best in a traditional Kanchivaram saree and Selvaraghavan was in traditional attire as well, sporting a dhoti. Selvaraghavan’s parents Kasthuri Raja and Vijaylakshmi, his sister-in-law Aishwarya Dhanush, actor Abhas and his wife Erum Ali and music director Yuvan Shankar Raja attended the ceremony and blessed the couple.
Rajinikanth and Latha, and Kamal Haasan graced the occasion. Newly-weds Soundarya Rajinikanth and Ashwin, and Telugu stars Venkatesh and Rana Daggubati also attended the ceremony. The wedding is on July 3 and it is expected to be an even bigger event with leading stars set to attend the event.
