‘Markandeyan’ audio released

After a two-hour delay, the audio release of ‘Markandeyan’ started with a bang at PVR Cinemas on Wednesday. The launch was presided over by Bollywood heartthrob Salman Khan, Ilaya Thalapathy Vijay and actress Shriya Saran among a flurry of noted members from.

Salman Khan flew down from Patiala to Chandigarh and from Chandigarh to Chennai, amid busy shooting schedule for ‘Bodyguard’ just to show his love and respect for his ‘master’ Fefsi Vijayan.

‘Markandeyan’ is the first Tamil directorial venture of noted stunt master Fefsi Vijayan (who has done four Telugu films earlier). He has also written the story and screenplay for this film.

Shabarish, son of Fefsi Vijayan had undergone tough training by learning kick boxing and shedding weight before picking up the role.

The film has newcomer Pinky in the female lead who hails from Bangkok. Music for the film has been scored by Sundar C Babu.

The music composer who was present at the launch regretted that he couldn't introduce his mother to Sallu. “I wanted to introduce my mother to Salman Khan. I had been talking about this launch for past two months, but unfortunately, she passed away a month back.”

The trailor was launched by KS Ravikumar, and three songs from the film were screened. The audio was released by Salman Khan and the first copy of the CD was received by actor Vijay. The other celebrities who graced the occasion were directors Mysskin, Seeman, Sargunam, Jayam Ravi and Kalaipuli S Thanu.
