Vishal is one actor who listens to his heart.

While most actors, directors and producers today prefer to make bilinguals or trilinguals, as releasing a movie in several languages simultaneously means a bigger audience base, Vishal has chosen to stand out from the rest.

The actor’s next film Vedi, which has just hit screens, is being released only in Tamil. The film, which has been directed by Prabhu Deva and which also features Sameera Reddy in the lead, is the remake of the Telugu super hit Shouryam.

Ask Vishal why his company chose to remake a Telugu film in Tamil when they could have easily opted for a fresh script and made a bilingual or trilingual out of it, and Vishal replies, “True, by making a movie in just one language, we don’t make as much but I loved Shouryam so much that I thought that I must do this role. I have this habit wherein I can’t sleep if I don’t do a role which I like and think is apt for me. I thought Shouryam was amazing and that is why I have done this film.”
