The young music director Girishh G, who  made an impressive debut with Marina, is all set to sign his next project. But the movie, it seems, will be completely different from his first film.

“My second project has not been titled yet, and is a psychological thriller. NRI Balaji Kumar, who is known for his Hollywood film Nine Lives of Mara, is directing the film. This movie will mark Balaji’s debut in Kollywood,” says Girishh.

According to the Marina composer, who has also worked with orchestras

in the UK before, the album will have three songs  of which he hopes two will be used in the movie. “The movie is about four men who, for three different reasons, chase two girls in one night. The stuff we have planned to attempt in the background score is the sort that you have seen in The Social Network.

Actually, the story doesn’t require a song, but the numbers will be used in a way that they do not intrude on the narration,” he says.

Girishh, who is also in talks to score music for another movie with a rural backdrop, says people  easily recognise him as his face was used in the promotions of Marina. So is he going to work with director Pandiraj again? “Pandiraj sir is a person who would like to introduce fresh talent in his films. But if he chooses me again, I’m definitely for it,” says Girishh.
