As part of the ongoing birth centernary celebrations of the late film producer B Nagi Reddi, an award has been instituted in his name.

The newly instituted Nagi Reddi Award will annually honour a film producer who has produced a thorough entertainer. The award will carry a monetary prize of `1,50,000.

The first award will be given to the producer of the Jiiva-starrer Ko, which hit screens in April 2011. The decision was made by a panel of judges comprising director Bhagyaraj and actor Sowcar Janaki. Elred Kumar, the producer of Ko, will be awarded at a gala event on May 1 at Kamaraj Memorial Hall. The event will be held in the presence of several film celebrities.
