Actor Gayathri, who has done films like 18 Vayasu and Naduvula Konja Pakkatha Kaanom, is gearing up for her next release titled Mathapoo. Unlike in Naduvula... she plays the role of a reserved girl in the film.
According to its director, Nagaraj, it is the story of a girl who is reshaping her life after a major emotional breakdown, and a man who rediscovers himself after meeting her. Newcomer Jayan plays the hero and Sithara makes a comeback with this film.
Debutant Velayutham has scored music and lyricists Na Muthukumar and Francis Kruba have penned the songs.
