Actor Vimal, who was last seen in 'Vagai Sooda Vaa', is almost done shooting for Sundar C’s film- tentatively titled- 'Masala Café'. And now, it is revealed that the young actor has lent his voice for a song in the film!

“Yes, I have tried my hand at singing for the first time,” says Vimal. The rough cut of the song has already been recorded and both him and the director are extremely happy with the results, he adds. “I have always enjoyed singing and the song has come out very well,” he says.

'Masala Café', touted to be an action-comedy film, has music by Vijay Ebenezer. “I’ve sung a situation song for the flick. It appears when Anjali’s character in the film cheats and disappoints my character on the love front,” he discloses.

Speaking about director Amudan’s 'Erandavadu Padam', Vimal says, “The character I play in that film is nothing like any other character I’ve played till date. When I heard the script, I immediately knew that children will love the film.” He promises, “It will be a great family entertainer.”

Vimal has also been roped in by director Vasanth for his latest flick 'Moondru Per, Moondru Kaadhal', shooting for which has been delayed by a month due to the strike in the industry. “The character I play in Vasanth sir’s film is very similar to my character in 'Kalavani' and has a certain humour element to it,” Vimal says. Comedy is something he is extremely comfortable in performing, admits the actor, who has also signed another film, 'Sillunu Oru Sandhippu', in which he will be paired with actress Oviya. “Since I am a funny guy off-screen also, I am naturally comfortable with humour,” he says.
