The workshop for the crew of Vada Chennai, which was supposed to be conducted by its director Vetrimaran, has been postponed to a different date.

A source said that the two-day workshop would be mainly for technicians and that actors would not have much to do with it. While the reason for the change in dates is unknown, it is being said that actor Simbu, who plays the lead in Vada Chennai, will also participate in the workshop.

Other actors, who are part of the project that seeks to showcase North Chennai,  include Rana Daggubati and Andrea Jermiah. Music director GV Prakash has scored the music for this film.
