The 12th New York Indian Film Festival (NYIFF) that begins on May 23 will include the screening of four Tamil films — Aadukalam, Azhagarsamiyin Kuthirai, 3 and Varnam.

   An annual event conducted by the Indo American Arts Council, the festival opens with the screening of Chittagong and ends with the screening of Gangs of Wasseypur. In all, 32 movies in Tamil, English, Hindi and other languages will be screened at the five-day festival.

While Aishwarya R Dhanush’s directorial venture 3 will be shown on May 26, director Suseenthiran's Azhagarsamiyin Kuthirai, which won a National Award, will be screened on May 24. Another National award winner Vetrimaran's Aadukalam, a Dhanush starrer again, will be screened along with a short film titled I too have a name. Varnam, directed by SM Raju with actor Monika in the lead, will be screened on May 26.

Celebrities from film industries across the country are expected to participate in the festival. From Kollywood,  director-actor couple Aishwarya and Dhanush are likely to attend the screening of the much talked about movie.
