It’s a film that has had very tough luck with the casting! After a bevy of lead ladies in the South like Amal Paul, Tamanna and Varalaxmi opting out of it, filmmaker Radha Mohan’s Gouravam will take off soon with a Kollywood debutant playing the heroine. Yami Gautam, who recently featured in the Bollywood flick Vicky Donor, apart from a few Kannada, Malayalam and Telugu films, has been finalised to play the lead lady of this movie, said to be an action flick.
Gouravam marks the fifth collaboration of the filmmaker and producer Prakash Raj, after Azhagiya Theeye, Mozhi, Abhiyum Naanum and Payanam.
Shoot for the movie will begin mid-June in Mysore,
according to a statement issued by the production house Duet Films.
The bilingual, to be made in Tamil and Telugu, will mark the debut of
Allu Sirish, Allu Arjun’s brother, as hero. Thaman will compose the music
while Preetha, who worked with this team earlier
for Abhiyum Naanum, will crank the camera for this film too.
