'Mic' Mohan makes a comeback

Express News Service

Mohan, who ruled the roost in 80s and is known for films like 'Mouna Ragam', 'Mella Thirandhadhu Kadhavu' and many more, is making a comeback. But this time, not just as an actor, but as a producer as well.

The actor, who is currently working on two untitled projects, seems to have bagged the remake rights of the hit and acclaimed Malayalam film, 'Beautiful' (2011). His plan, according to sources, is to film the movie in all other three southern languages — Tamil, Telugu and Kannada.

The original version, directed by V K Prakash, revolves around a quadriplegic person (played by Jayasurya) and has actors Anoop Menon and Meghana Raj in other important roles.

While Prakash will be directing the remake as well, Mohan seems not to be interested in repeating the cast, but wants to have a different set of actors for all three languages. While the title and actors are yet to be finalised, Mohan has clarified that he is not acting any of the three versions of Beautiful. The film is also being remade in Hindi under a different banner.
