Director Shankar groomed me for 'Nanban’: Srikanth

Venkatesh S

It seems like actor Srikanth has earned the support of several A-listers in Kollywood. While  it was director Ameer who suggested Srikanth for the lead role in 'Paagan', the actor has now thanked director Shankar for his looks in 'Nanban'.

“Director Shankar groomed me to a great extent for my role in 'Nanban'. He insisted that I maintain my boy-next-door look. That’s when I decided not to do roles beyond my age,” the actor says.

Srikanth says the role he reprises in 'Paagan', which released on Friday, will showcase his love for bicycles. “The film conveys a message that there are no shortcuts to success in life,” he explains.

Janani Iyer plays the female lead in the film. James Vasanthan has scored the music.

Srikanth is currently part of projects like 'Ethiri Enn Moondru' and 'Nambiar'. It clearly looks like all is well with the 'Nanban' star.
