Aryan's Makers Set a Release Date Amid Fanfare

A Sharadhaa

BANGALORE: Shivarajkumar fans are already in a celebratory mood even before the actor's film Aryan has hit theatres. A huge cut-out of actor Shivarajkumar has been erected at Navarang and Prasanna theatres and fans have even anointed them with hundreds of litres of milk.

"It's the first time that cut-outs have been installed a week a before the release. The main theatres will open for advance booking three days before the release. And we are releasing it in at least 300 theatres," says producer Kamar.

Interestingly, the release date has been announced even before the film has been certified by the censor board.

"The film is with the censor board in Mumbai now. Since we have very little time for promotions, following our request, the board  has given us the go ahead to announce the release date. Celebrating before the release isn't new for fans of a star like Shivarajkumar, but it's been taken to a higher level this time," he adds. The flick sees Shivarajkumar as Aryan, a coach who trains an athlete played by Ramya. The project took off with late director D Rajendra Babu and was later taken over by Gurudutt who has completed it with Shivanna's help.
