Purampokku's Ode to Gaana Pattu

PURAMPOKKU,  the upcoming flick helmed by renowned director S P Jananathan  will have an ode to the gaana pattu genre.  UTV Motion Pictures South head Dhananjayan Govind took to twitter to share the news about a few developments and said, “Two songs from new music director Vashan, shot with #Vijaysethupathi are super gana dance numbers. Loved them. Other details soon:-).”  The film starring Vijay Sethupathi, Arya, Shaam and Karthika Nair is progressing in great speed, being shot in some of the exotic locales of North India.

Recently reports suggested that the film will have a lot of historical significance. The film explores the relevance of capital punishment in a society that considers itself democratic.
