CHENNAI: Leading film entertainment company Eros International Media Limited today announced its foray into Tamil music with the release of AR Murugadoss-directed 'Kaththi', starring popular actor Vijay.
"Eros Music will release the sound track of this upcoming action thriller, one of the most anticipated Tamil films of 2014, on 18th September," a company release here said.
Soundarya A Rajinikanth, Director - Creative & Head, Eros Digital for South India said the company was 'very excited' to associate with the 'Kaththi' team to release its music. "With this move, we are looking forward to leveraging our strength in exclusively exploiting Tamil music content across all formats," she was quoted as saying.
Produced by Ayngaran International and Lyca Productions, 'Kaththi' is scheduled for a Diwali release in October.
The music for the film has been scored by Anirudh Ravichander and the successful duo of Murugadoss-Vijay combination had joined hands after their superhit action film 'Thuppakki', remade in Hindi by the director as 'Holiday' starring Akshay Kumar.
