Hard work pays and it pays big. Standing testimony to this fact is actor Atharvaa, whose film Eetti (2015), has now been declared a hit.

At a press meet called to celebrate the success of the film, Atharvaa, who trained hard to play the role of an athlete in the film, said, “We toiled as a team for two years for this film. After that, we were eagerly awaiting its release. Finally, our producer, Michael Rayappan decided that we would release the film on December 4.”

Just as the entire team was rejoicing, on December 1, the great deluge happened. Chennai was flooded by a phenomenal amount of rain that the city hadn’t witnessed in the last 100 years. “Our hearts sank. Nobody had expected this kind of destruction. Our priorities changed from worrying about the film to helping those in need. We postponed the film’s release. Till December 7, we were busy helping those in need. It was at this time that the producer took a bold decision to release the film on December 11. He said, ‘As filmmakers, our job is to entertain people and this is when they need something to take their minds off this great tragedy.’ It was a perfect decision.”

Stating that he tries to give his all to every film, Atharvaa said he does not worry about the outcome. “The result is not in our hands. I wish to thank my cameraman, director and team for helping me deliver in this film,” he said.
