Ammani, the third directorial venture of TV anchor-turned director Lakshmy Ramakrishnan, is being produced by Ven Govinda for Tag entertainment [P] Ltd. The producer is excited about his new film Ammani. “This story is an inspiration of a real-life character. Thanks to my director Lakshmy for giving me a wonderful script,” said Ven Govinda. “Vinnaithandi Varuvaaya Subbulakshmi Paatti is doing the lead role. The octogenarian was working day and night throughout the film. She hates to be called paatti. She wanted us to call her akka. She possessed so much of enthusiasm and zest,” says Ven Govinda.
