Karthi to join hands with Sathuranga Vettai fame director Vinoth Kumar
Karthi, who’s busy with Mani Ratnam’s Kaatru Veliyidai, will join hands with director Vinoth Kumar of Sathuranga Vettai (2014) fame, for an untitled Tamil project next. “The talks were on when Karthi was wrapping up Kashmora. Once he finishes his existing commitments, he’ll start working on this project,” said a source. Meanwhile, we hear that Rakul Preet Singh has been approached to play the leading lady opposite Karthi. However, official confirmation is awaited. Recently, we believe that there was a photo-shoot in the city, and we learn Studio Green will likely bankroll this venture.
Vinoth’s debut film Sathuranga Vettai was a critically-acclaimed super hit. After he was rumoured to be teaming up with Suriya, there were talks citing the young filmmaker to team up with Ajith. However, only this film with the Paruthiveeran (2007) actor has been finalised yet.
