Rajini's fine: His office scotches social media rumours of his death

Social media went wild with rumours that Superstar Rajini had died of a heart attack in the early hours of Thursday.

CHENNAI: Social media circles were abuzz with rumours this morning of the death of Tamil film star Rajinikanth dying. His office issued a clarification that the actor was in good health.

As the rumour spread, it got wilder. Some online reports said Rajinikanth had suffered a heart attack and died in the early hours of Thursday. They added that his daughter Soundarya had even confirmed the death. Not stopping there, the reports said top personalities from the film industry mourned his death.

The matinee idol’s PR office issued a clarification stating that Rajinikanth was in good health but resting after an exhausting shooting schedule for two film he is involved in at the moment: Kabali and Robot 2.0.
