After Shruti Haasan’s exit from Sangamithra, it was speculated that Hansika would replace her in the titular role, given her past association with director Sundar C. But now, word has it that the actress won’t be a part of the project.
Sources also say that the crew is busy with the pre-production work and will reveal the replacement soon. Names such as Nayanthara and Anushka have also been making the rounds for a while.
The film, bankrolled by Sri Thenandal Films, will also star Jayam Ravi and Arya, with AR Rahman signed up to compose the music.
